Responsibilities
- Defining and executing channel-specific trade marketing strategies aligned to regional business priorities and overall brand objectives.
- Developing and implementing effective trade promotion plans that drive visibility, traffic, and sales performance at point of sale.
- Leveraging shopper and channel insights to continuously refine trade strategies, improve in-store experiences, and drive actions that support business growth objectives.
- Managing the development and deployment of trade marketing assets across digital and physical Point of Sale (POS), offline marketing, and sales collateral to support sales teams and channel partners effectively.
- Defining and driving the overall events and sponsorships strategy in line with Airtel’s business objectives, brand priorities, and regional growth plans.
- Providing clear strategic guidelines, governance, frameworks, and decision criteria to regions and zones to guide event and sponsorship selection, prioritisation, and execution.
- Leading end-to-end planning and execution of approved events, delivering integrated 360o experiences.
- Planning and managing tactical and ad-hoc events initiated at Head Office.
- Completing post-event evaluations and reports with clear recommendations and sign-off.
- Managing agency, partner, and internal stakeholder delivery to ensure activation on time and in full.
- Evaluating sponsorship performance, documenting ROI, and securing management sign-off
- Supporting Go To Market (GTM) activities for new sites in line with established site roll out communications, coordinating with sales and networks teams.
- Project-management of all core region launch activations ensuring effective merchandising POS execution, and experiential delivery
- Coordinating with zonal teams to ensure timely and effective execution of approved local programmes.
Qualifications
- Degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration or related commercial fields.
- Master’s in business administration preferred as an additional qualification.
- Project Management qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in Brand/Trade Marketing with key achievements in event activation/execution.
- Brand Management & Media experience.
- Local market knowledge and experience will be a key requirement.
- Project Management acumen.
