Our Company wants to open two day care centres. We are looking for a child care maid or childcare assistant at our daycare centre to maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment while supporting teachers with child hygiene, meal service, and supervision. Key duties include sanitizing toys and classrooms, changing diapers, assisting with meals, naptime supervision, and ensuring overall cleanliness.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Hygiene & Sanitization: Change diapers, assist with potty training, wash hands, and sterilize toys, play equipment, and surfaces regularly.

Child Care Support: Assist teachers with feeding, dressing, and supervising children during playtime or outings to ensure safety.

Meal Preparation: Prepare, serve, and clean up nutritious snacks and meals, including sanitizing bottles and feeding infants.

Environmental Maintenance: Perform light housekeeping, including cleaning, sweeping, tidying, and managing laundry (e.g., bibs, blankets).

Routine Assistance: Help with organizing naps, cleaning up after activities, and ensuring classrooms are orderly.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Previous experience in childcare or housekeeping, especially in a professional setting.

Skills: Knowledge of sanitization procedures, patient and caring demeanor, ability to follow health and safety guidelines.

Physical Stamina: Able to lift children, bend, and stay active throughout the day.

Background Check: Often requires a clean criminal record/background check for working with children.

KEY COMPETENCIES

Detail-oriented for cleaning and safety.

Patience and nurturing attitude toward children.

Ability to work as part of a team with lead caregivers.

QUALIFICATIONS

-Grade 12 School Certificate

-A certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education will be an added advantage.
