We are inviting applications from suitably qualified, motivated, and experienced individuals to fill the following academic positions:
PRINCIPAL TUTOR
Reports to: College Management / Governing Board
Job Purpose
To provide academic and administrative leadership in the nursing training and ensure delivery of high-quality nursing education in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ) standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership and management of the nursing programme.
Coordinate curriculum implementation, assessment, and evaluation.
Supervise nurse tutors and clinical instructors.
Ensure compliance with NMCZ regulations and training standards.
Oversee student admissions, progression, and examinations.
Promote research, professional development, and quality improvement.
Liaise with clinical sites and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements
Registered Nurse with a valid NMCZ practising licence.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing/Midwifery; Master’s degree in Nursing education is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years clinical experience and 3 years teaching/administrative experience.
Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of NMCZ education and training standards.
CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR
Job Purpose
To provide practical clinical teaching and supervision of nursing students in health facilities in accordance with NMCZ standards and the institutional curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Teach and demonstrate clinical nursing procedures.
Supervise students during clinical placements.
Assess student competencies and maintain clinical records.
Collaborate with ward managers and tutors on student progress.
Promote professional ethics and patient safety.
Participate in curriculum implementation and evaluation.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Registered Nurse with valid NMCZ licence.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent qualification recognized by NMCZ.
Minimum 3 years post-registration clinical experience.
Experience in teaching/mentorship is an added advantage.
Strong communication, supervisory, and interpersonal skills.
