About the Role
The Office Orderly will support the Administration department by maintaining cleanliness and orderliness across offices, meeting rooms, kitchens, dining areas, common areas, and other designated premises. The incumbent will assist with hospitality services including preparation and serving of tea, beverages, meals, and refreshments during meetings, events, and official functions. The role also involves basic administrative support such as filing, photocopying, scanning, document distribution, courier deliveries, office material movement, and support for maintaining office surroundings including light gardening activities. The position requires a reliable, honest, service-oriented, and professional individual who can maintain high hygiene standards, follow health and safety procedures, and contribute to the smooth daily functioning of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure offices, meeting rooms, common areas, kitchens, dining areas, and designated premises are kept clean, hygienic, and orderly at all times.
- Prepare and serve tea, refreshments, beverages, meals, and snacks for management, employees, visitors, meetings, events, and official functions.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in office kitchens, dining areas, and related facilities.
- Support basic administrative tasks including filing, photocopying, scanning, faxing, document distribution, courier deliveries, and internal movement of documents, files, and office materials.
- Assist with office maintenance support and ensure cleaning and hospitality supplies are adequately stocked.
- Promptly report replenishment needs for cleaning materials, refreshments, and related office supplies.
- Support upkeep of office surroundings, including basic gardening and light landscaping activities where required.
- Follow company health, safety, hygiene, and workplace standards while performing assigned duties.
- Provide support during company events, meetings, and official functions.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 School Certificate required.
- Certificate in Hospitality, Housekeeping, Office Administration, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in office support, housekeeping, hospitality, or a similar role required.
- Experience working in a corporate office environment will be an added advantage.
- Basic filing and document handling skills required.
- Basic culinary and food preparation skills required.
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills required.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team required.
- Good communication skills, professional attitude, reliability, honesty, integrity, multitasking ability, and ability to prioritize work effectively required.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel will be an added advantage.
- The role requires ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform routine physical activities, with occasional indoor and light outdoor duties.
